Gulf Aluminium Association holds first meeting

An industry body representing the GCC's smelters – the Gulf Aluminium Association – held its first full meeting in Dubai on 19 February.
The organisation is chaired by Abdulla Kalban, chief executive officer of Dubai Aluminium.
The other members are Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), Sohar Aluminium, Emirates Aluminium (Emal), Qatalum and Maaden, which is developing a full value-chain aluminium project in Saudi Arabia.
