Iran tenders contract on Saleh gas field

Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) has invited companies to prequalify for a new contracting tender for the Saleh gas field located in the Hormuz Strait.

The engineering, procurement, construction and drilling deal covers generation of a master development plan, downstream gas plants and the drilling of exploration and production wells.

Companies are due to submit their tender offers by 27 February. IOOC says the project is expected to take 12 months.

Earlier this week, the state-run firm tendered the Hormuz and Tasan oil and gas fields. Companies are also preparing to submit pre-qualifying documents for the giant Lavan gas field within the next few weeks after that project was delayed (MEED 14:1:08).
