Plans for Palestinian investors conference in May

The Palestinian government has announced further plans for a conference in May, aimed at boosting investment in the Occupied Territories.

Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad says the event is likely to be held in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, and will follow soon after the World Economic Forum in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, which runs from 18 to 20 May.

However, no official dates have yet been announced for the Palestinian conference.

Plans for the conference were originally announced in December 2007 by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and it had been loosely scheduled for March or April.
