Logistics firm keen to tap into Abu Dhabi’s trade potential

Logistics provider Globe Express Services is considering opening an industrial warehouse in Abu Dhabi in early 2013.

Having established an Abu Dhabi office in October last year, the firm wants to expand its presence in the emirate. The company already opened a warehouse and accompanying office in Dubai’s Jebel Ali free zone in July.

The Dubai-based warehouse offers various warehousing and packing services, such as container loading and uploading, crating, short-term storage and safe rooms for high value goods.

The logistics firm is keen to build market share in Abu Dhabi, particularly given the opportunities with the opening of the new Khalifa Port and the subsequent increase in exports and imports will offer.

Globe Express Services was originally set up as an international freight forwarder for US importers. Since then it has built up a global presence with a network of 58 offices worldwide.
