Iraq oil revenue up $300bn in Dec 2009

Country shipped 61.3 million barrels of crude

Iraq’s oil revenues grew by almost $300m to $4.5bn in December from $4.2bn in November 2009, according to Assem Jihad, a spokesman at Iraq’s Oil Ministry.

Crude oil exports for the month rose to 61.3 million barrels, at $73.39 a barrel. The figure is 7 per cent up on the 57 million barrels exported in November, earning the country $4.2bn.
