33= King Abdullah Sports City
Project Overview
King Abdullah Sports City, similar in concept
to Dubai Sports City, will include a 100,000-capacity football stadium and several other indoor sports arenas.
It will be developed on a 9 sq km plot of land to the north of Jeddah and will give Saudi Arabia the ability to host major sporting events. The project will also include a specialist hospital to treat athletes, youth hostels and other accommodation.
Although Aramco is known for its oil & gas activities, it has played a key role in other major construction projects in Saudi Arabia, including King Abdullah University for Science & Technology.
