Project Overview
The olefins complex
in the Ras Laffan Industrial City in the north of Qatar will source its ethane and propane feedstock from the North Field. It aims to sell its products to customers in Asia and Europe. It is the first project in the country to include a capability for ethylene glycol production.
Update: Shell has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Qatar Petroleum to replace ExxonMobil Global Services as the project developer after, ExxonMobil withdrew from the project.
