destined for Jubail, this facility will include an ethane/propane cracker, which will provide feedstock for the production of a vinyl acetate monomer unit.

Lurgi to build mega CO unit Subscription Required

Germany's Lurgi has received a letter of intent for the contract to build the carbon monoxide (CO) unit and purification plant to serve the Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) Jubail acetyls complex. The estimated $200 million contract, which will be let on a lump-sum turnkey (LSTK) basis, is expected to be signed soon. Construction will take 32-33 months.
