Belbadi wins Business Bay
Abu Dhabi-based Emirates Belbadi has been awarded the estimated AED 200 million ($54 million) main construction contract for the One Business Bay tower project at Business Bay.
The 22-month contract calls for the construction of a 31-storey office tower on plot 1 in Business Bay to the south of the main entrance into the development from Shaikh Zayed road. The local/UK Dutco Balfour Beatty has completed the enabling works package, Germany's Kling Consult is the design consultant, Currie & Brown of the UK is the quantity surveyor and the local Hamilton is the project manager. The local Omniyat Properties, the real estate subsidiary of Almasa Holdings, is the client (MEED 21:4:06).
