Iran Power Development Company (IPDC) has issued a tender for 650 MW of new capacity at the Bisotoon power plant in western Iran (MEED 1:12:06).

The tender calls for two extra steam turbines, each with a capacity of 315-325 MW, to be installed at the plant, which lies between Kermanshah and Hamadan. Both foreign and local companies have been invited, with the foreign portion of work not to exceed 50 per cent. Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors have been asked to list all equipment made outside Iran. Bid documents are available until 19 December.

IPDC is a subsidiary of Iran Power Generation Transmission & Distribution Company (Tavanir), itself an arm of the Energy Ministry.
