Dubai extends Jebel Ali sewage treatment deadline
Dubai Municipality has extended to 21 January the bid closing date for the contract to build its grassroots Jebel Ali sewage treatment plant. Thirteen groups are prequalified for the 300,000-cubic-metre-a-day plant, which will be located to the south of the Jebel Ali-Lahbab road.
The contract involves the construction of access roads, internal road systems, treatment facilities, tankers, reservoirs, pumping stations and administration, laboratory, accommodation and workshop buildings.
Three further phases are planned at the site, which
will take overall capacity to 1 million cm/d. The consultant is US-based MWH (MEED 23:9:05).
