A roadshow was staged in Bahrain on 4 December for a $125 million sukuk issue by Kuwait's Al-Ahlia Investment Company to fund the Lagoon City portion of the

Al-Khiran Pearl City development. A pipeline of sukuks is building up for the new year and bankers expect that a significant increase in the number of corporate issues, as well as structural innovation, will be major trends in 2007.
