Bids due for power plant

Bids are due by the end of August for the estimated $1,500 million-2,000 million engineering, procurement and construction contract to build the PP10 power plant, near Riyadh. Prequalified companies for the 2,000 MW plant include National Contracting Company, Arabian Bemco Contracting and Al-Toukhi Contracting, all local. The local/Pakistani joint venture of Saudi Consulting Services (SaudConsult) and National Engineering Services of Pakistan (Nespak) is the consultant. The client is Saudi Electricity Company (MEED 1:6:07).
