Shell and Turkey prepare joint Kirkuk oil bid

The UK/Dutch Shell Group is expected to make a joint bid for Iraq's giant Kirkuk field with Turkey's state-run energy firm Tpao, after the two firms signed a memorandum of understanding to consider gas exploration and production opportunities earlier this month.
