Algiers aims to finish east-west highway
Tenders are expected in the summer for three contracts to build the remaining 900 kilometres of the planned 1,216-kilometre east-west highway across the north of the country. Bid documents are under preparation following the relaunch of the estimated $7,000 million project at a seminar organised by the Ministry of Public Works in Algiers in June. Completion is due in 2009.
