Local group wins government cement contract
More construction materials supply contracts to follow
SAK Commodities, part of the local Sanna al-Kassir General Trading Company, has signed a cement supply contract with Iraq’s Trade Ministry.
SAK will initially provide 50,000 tonnes of ordinary portland cement and 50,000 tonnes of sulphur resistant cement every month for a two-year period. This will increase up to 400,000 tonnes-a-month when required by the Trade Ministry.
SAK is also currently engaged in contract negotiations with the ministry for a steel supply contract.
