New capacity at Khor al-Zubair port

South Iraq Container Terminal (SICT)has completed the dredging of berths 7 and 8 at the Khor al-Zubair (KAZ) port, located eight kilometres north of Umm Qasr on the Shatt al-Arab waterway. The work carried out by local dredgers for the Iraqi Port Authority (IPA) has deepened the alongside depth for both berths to 11 metres.
