Algeria to hold referendum on constitution
Algiers will hold a constitutional referendum in 2007, the government newspaper El-Moudjahid quoted Prime Minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem as saying on 4 January. In November, Belkhadem said the vote, which was originally scheduled for 2006, was delayed due to President Bouteflika's busy agenda.
