Algerian Islamists claim responsibility for Mauritania attacks
An Algerian militant group linked to Al-Qaeda, the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), claimed responsibility on 6 June for an attack on a military base in Mauritania during which 15 people died.
