Algiers gets EIB loan
The European Investment Bank (EIB) on 11 December announced the extension of a Eur 230 million ($279 million) loan to Algiers for the reconstruction of public infrastructure and social housing following the devastating earthquakes in May. The funds will be used to supplement the priority rehabilitation and reconstruction of the areas hit by the earthquake.
