Kuwait to raise expat teachers' salaries

Kuwait's Ministry of Education (MoE) has said it will raise salaries for non-Kuwaiti teachers and introduce a housing allowance for them, Kuwait Times has reported. According to Dr. Moudhi Al-Humoud, minister of education and higher education, the new plan offers more training courses for teachers, as well as providing new educational tools and equipment, reducing the transfer of teachers from one school to another and ensuring that teachers are appointed at schools near their homes to cut down on travel time.
