Kuwait to vaccinate 320,000 children
A national vaccination campaign will be launched in April by Kuwait's health ministry against measles, rubella and mumps for 320,000 children between one and seven years, Kuna has reported. The KD400,000 campaign follows a warning by the World Health Organization of a possible increase in the cases of the infectious diseases in the country. Kuwait had suffered a measles outbreak in 2007 when the infection rate hit 4-6 out of each 100,000 people compared with only one case per 100,000 in the previous years.
