ACC closes in on white cement plant
Algerian Cement Company (ACC), a subsidiary of Egypt's Orascom Construction Industries (OCI), is expected to get approval from the government by mid-July to build a white cement plant at Muaskar about 100 kilometres southwest of Oran. The facility will have capacity of 600,000-800,000 tonnes a year. Two suppliers, Germany's Polysiusand Denmark's FL Smidth, have been shortlisted for the equipment supply contract.
