Qatar Ramco in Vinyls Italia purchase talks

Qatar-based civil engineering and trading firm, Ramco Trading & Contracting Co. is in talks to buy ailing Italian polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) producer Vinyls Italia, Chemical Week magazine has reported. The Qatari firm also is currently negotiating with Rome-based ENI over the possible acquisition of chlor-alkali plants that supply Vinyls Italia facilities in north-eastern Italy and Sardinia.
