Algiers announces new agency heads
Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia on 14 November appointed the heads of two new independent bodies set to take over some of the key responsibilities of state energy company Sonatrachin the most radical overhaul of the country's oil and gas sector for 30 years. The two new bodies were created under the terms of the landmark hydrocarbons law, formally introduced at the end of July (MEED 8:4:05, Cover Story).
