Algiers set to boost output
Oil capacity will be boosted by more than one third in the next five years, to 2 million barrels a day (b/d), and gas output will also increase, Energy Minister Chakib Khelil told MEED in an exclusive interview in Algiers on 6 December. Investment is also planned in the downstream sector and there will be a focus on the diversification of exports, the minister said.
