Contractors line up for oil hub project at El-Merk
More than 20 contractors have submitted prequalification applications to the US' Anadarko Corporation for the estimated $3,000 million-4,000 million project to develop a new oil production hub on the El-Merk field, 300 kilometres south of Hassi Messaoud.The scheme covers a major wet gas processing programme to recover oil from four fields in the Berkine basin, near the border with Libya and Tunisia.
