New gas find for Sonatrach
State-owned Sonatrachhas announced a gas discovery on block 328b in the little-explored Reggane basin in the southwest. Two wells tested at 195,600 cubic metres a day (cm/d) and 240,000 cm/d. Preliminary evaluations indicate that total reserves in the area are between 17,000 million-23,000 million cubic metres, and further tests will now be carried out.
