New head for Sonatrach
Mohamed Meziane on 18 September was appointed chief executive of state energy company Sonatrach by Energy & Mines Minister Chakib Khelil. The 59-year-old engineer takes up the post two months after the death of the previous manager Djamel Eddine Khene, who had himself only held the position since May (MEED 11:7:03).
