Partners pull out of Touggourt
The foreign partners in the Touggourt permit in southeast Algeria have withdrawn from exploration of the acreage because the block lacked commercial viability, a spokesman from one of the equity holders, Japan National Oil Corporation (JNOC), confirmed on 23 October. Under the terms of the contract, the permit now reverts back to state energy company Sonatrach.
