Pipeline plans take shape
Gas sale and purchase agreements (SPAs) on the proposed Galsi gas pipeline to Italy and the Medgaz pipe to Spain are at an advanced stage of negotiations. The two pipelines, with total capacity of 16,000 million cubic metres a year (cm/y), are due to come on stream by the beginning of 2009 (MEED 29:7:05; 25:3:05).
