Repsol, Gas Natural sign for Gassi Touil

Repsol and Gas Natural, both of Spain, signed on 14 March a joint venture agreement with Sonatrach to implement the $2,100 million Gassi Touil gas export project. Under the agreement, a new project company called Sociedad de Licuefaccion (SDL) will be formed to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant on the northern coast, and appraise and develop the Gassi Touil gas deposit in the east of the country.
