Shell returns to Algeria
The Royal/DutchShell Grouphas returned to the upstream oil and gas sector following an absence of almost 20 years, after winning two blocks in the country's latest international licensing round. The Anglo/Dutch major was one of four companies to be awarded a total of nine oil and gas exploration contracts by state energy company Sonatrachon 9 April.
