Sonatrach revises new refinery plan
State energy company Sonatrach has suspended plans to build a 300,000-barrel-a-day grassroots refinery at Tiaret in order to carry out a detailed review of the project's economic and technical viability. The decision puts on hold an international tender for a 35 per cent equity stake in the development.
