Statoil eyes further investment
Norway's Statoil has announced plans to invest a further $1,500 million to develop gas fields. The investment is contingent on future natural gas discoveries in the 23,000-square-kilometre Hassi Mouina block in the west. Statoil owns a 75 per cent stake in the block, with state energy company Sonatrach owning the remainder (MEED 10:3:06).
