Strong interest in bid round
Close to 60 companies are expected to bid in the sixth international hydrocarbons licensing round, said Chawki Rahal, director-general of state energy company Sonatrach, speaking at a conference in London on 16 January. Companies have until 19 March to submit offers for exploration in 10 blocks, covering almost 100,000 square kilometres (MEED 8:10:04).
