Transmed capacity to rise

Italy's Enihas signed an agreement with state energy company Sonatrach to invest Eur 330 million ($425 million) in increasing the capacity of the Tunisian section of the Transmed pipeline. Under the agreement, the capacity of the pipeline, which connects Algeria and Italy, will increase to 1.2 trillion cubic feet a year (cf/y) in 2012 from 953,000 million cf/y.
