Dubai stores must have refund policy
Retailers in Dubai have been told by Dubai's Department of Economic Development that they must offer a refund and 14-day exchange policy, Gulf News has reported. 'The consumer should have the choice to not take a product that is not to their liking,' Omar Bu Shahab, chief executive of the DED's Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection Division, said. In cases where similar products are not available, retailers should exchange the item for another item of a similar price, he said. 'In any case, they have to have the exchange and refund policy,' he said.
