ABB awarded substation contract
Europe's ABBhas won a $31 million turnkey contract to supply and install two 220/72-kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substations in the Algiers area. The 15-month contract also involves laying a 2.5-kilometre-long, 220-kV cable connection in the harbour area. The client is state power company Sonelgaz.
