ABB wins more substation work
State power company Sonelgaz has awarded a $25 million turnkey contract to Europe's ABB to improve the electricity supply in and around Algiers. The contract calls for the upgrade of eight 220/60/30-kV and 10-kV substations near the capital and involves the design, manufacture, testing, erection and commissioning of the switchgear, new transformers and associated equipment.
