Low interest in new plants
State-owned electricity company Sonelgaz has received only one bid for each of four contracts to build new power generation plants.The US' General Electric (GE) was the only company to submit technical bids for the four open-cycle, gas-driven plants with total capacity of 400 MW by the early-September deadline.
