Spanish group wins desal contract
A four-strong Spanish consortium of Cobra Instalaciones & Servicios, Befesa, Codesa and Sociedad Anonima Depuracion & Tratamientos (Sadyt)was selected on 3 April for the design, construction, operation and management of the 100,000-cubic-metre-a-day (cm/d) Skikda desalination plant. The group was picked after submitting the low bid of $0.74 a cubic metre of water produced.
