Alcatel wins broadband work
Fixed-line operator Algeria Telecom has awarded France's Alcatel a multi-million-dollar contract to install a broadband network throughout the country and provide consultancy services on high-speed internet services. Under the terms of the deal, Alcatel will install 130,000 lines during the third quarter, and will also assistwith the future installation of an additional 170,000 lines.
