Algerie Telecom sale approaches
The part-privatisation of Algerie Telecom is expected to be launched shortly after the summer. Plans to sell a stake in the operator had stalled due to disagreements over the size of the stake to be sold, with some in government unwilling to cede majority control along the lines of the 51 per cent sale of Maroc Telecom to France's Vivendi Universal in late 2004.
