Etihad offers extra Jeddah flights in Ramadan
The airline currently operates 28 flights each week to Saudi Arabia
Abu Dhabi airline Etihad Airways is providing 24 additional flights between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah during the holy month of Ramadan.
The extra flights will be available up until 12 September and the airline says they will cater to the expected increase in passengers travelling to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimages during Ramadan.
Etihad already operates 28 flights each week to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
The airline recorded an 11 per cent increase in passenger traffic in the first half of 2010, bringing traveller numbers to almost 3.3 million. The airline also recorded a 21.6 per cent growth in cargo traffic during the same period. The carrier also began its first freight service to Beijing on 11 August (MEED 4:8:10).
