Jordan: Iraq to close file on malfunctioning aircraft
The Jordanian transport minister Alaa Batayneh has said that Iraq will close - before the end of next February - the file on six malfunctioned Iraqi Airways aircraft that have been kept at Queen Alia International Airport since 1991, Arabic daily Addustour has reported. Batayneh stressed to his Iraqi counterpart that the planes need to be transferred "as soon as possible," especially given that the airport is currently being operated and managed by an international investment consortium, the newspaper said.
