Bids due for suburban rolling stock
Technical and commercial bids are due by 11 November for the contract to provide rolling stock for the Algiers suburban train network. The contract calls for the provision of 64 carriages. Germany's Siemensand France's Alstom are likely to bid for the contract, with Canada's Bombardier, Spain's Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF)and a Slovakian company also possible contenders.
