Kuwait completes rail, metro studies

Kuwait's communications minister has said that studies on the planned subway and railway systems in the country have been concluded and submitted to the major projects committee for consideration, Kuwait Times has reported. The projects would be carried out on Build Operate Transfer (BOT) basis, while the railway project is to be implemented through a shareholding company, of which 50% of the shares will be offered for sale to Kuwaitis, while 24% will be retained by the government and the remaining 26% will be available to private investors.
