Madrid signs train loan
The Transport Ministry has announced the signing of a Eur 102 million ($120 million) loan from the Spanish government for the purchase of 17 trains to relieve pressure on the public transport system. Spain's Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF)is in line to provide the rolling stock by the end of 2006, although a contract has yet to be signed.
