Biography: Abdel Khan is a sustainability consultant at Faithful & Gould, one of the world’s largest project and cost management consultants.

Since joining the company in September 2008, he has spearheaded its strategy of sustainable development in the Middle East. Khan has extensive experience in building engineering services, with an emphasis on energy management and renewable energy integration. Other areas of expertise include sustainability strategy, carbon footprinting and life-cycle assessments. Khan is accredited by the US Green Building Council to assess buildings according to its Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (Leed) standards, and is responsible for managing green building assessments for clients across the Middle East.

Khan holds a master’s degree in engineering for sustainable development from Cambridge University.
